I have a strong academic writing background. I have successfully completed a BA(Psych) degree. I am confident using the APA format. I am willing to learn new writing styles as necessary I am currently undertaking a certificate IV in Professional Writing and Editing and have recently completed a Certificate in Professional Proofreading and Editing. I have experience in editing everything from full-length novels to short blog entries. I am experienced with the MS Word application. This program is my chosen method for 'on screen' edits.

I am an avid reader, having read over 150books in the past 12 months alone. My love for reading led me to a career as a proofreader and editor and I have been working as an editor/proofreader for approximately 12 months. I have built up substantial experience and positive feedback.

 During my time as a freelance proofreader and editor, I have gained experience working with a range of documents from website content, blog posts, business and government documentation, full manuscripts and novellas to resumes, cover letters and selection criteria. 

I also have writing and transcription experience and my skill set also includes fact checking and research. I am proficient with the APA format of academic writing.

 To enhance my skills in this area, I have completed a Certificate of Professional Proofreading and Editing, with a HighDistinction average.  I am also pursuing a Certificate IV in Writing and Editing.

 As a professional editor and proofreader, I would love to be able to state that all of my work is 100% accurate, all of the time. I am, however, only human. Currently, my accuracy rate is approximately 97%.

 I pride myself on my ability to meet tight deadlines. I have a very flexible schedule, which allows me to work to meet strict deadlines with minimal pressure.

 I am a native Australian and English speaker, currently residing in Brisbane, Australia and I am confident in both US and UKprose.

My educational background includes successfully completing my year 12 Higher School Certificate, a Certificate III- Assistant in Nursing, and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology.

 I am dedicated, hardworking and pride myself on the work that I return for all of my projects.
