Hi, 你好!欢迎来到我的主页!在这里你将得到的不仅仅是来自一名留学咨询顾问的专业指导,更是一个过来人的亲历经验。
我本科毕业于南京大学,2014年申请美国海洋工程、土木/环境工程、机械工程硕士,申请的项目里有近一半是跨专业申请。最后收到的数十封录取信中,有常春藤抛来的橄榄枝,也有全奖的offer。最终经过深思熟虑我选择来到Texas A&M University进修ocean engineering专业的MS学位,希望未来的自己能在美国海上石油能源领域发光发热。
回首三年前的申请之路,有过迷茫困惑,也有过收获的喜悦。记得2013年的夏天,已经拿到足够的英语分数的我即将开始DIY申请。那时我最渴望获得的帮助就是学长学姐全方位的亲身指导。现在的自己已经走过这一段路程,很希望能借这个机会把自己的经验告诉还在奋斗的你。
DIY出国留学申请是极其考验一个人综合素质的过程。这不仅仅包含了对申请者学术能力的测试,还包括对其自我认知能力、信息收集能力、决策能力、时间利用能力甚至心理素质的考验。这本身就是一件耗时巨大过程复杂的事情,美国高校研究生项目之多,种类之杂,要求之高,又使得放眼美国的童鞋们倍感压力。这种来自家庭、学校和自己的压力,加上缺乏相关信息的无助无奈,以及处处都想提高却又感觉无处下手的迷茫,我感同身受。我将根据我当时的申请经验,以及这两年来在美国学习生活的经历,提供申请指导意见,包括自我定位、选校、专业方向选择、文书准备、网申、学术套磁等等。对土木、环境、机械、海洋、石油工程等方向的申请者,我会提供更加细致精确的贴近专业方向的学校信息、项目信息甚至导师方向特点,以及美国相关行业现状、就业情况等。

Simulation and Analysis of the Tidal Control Mechanism of Suspended Sediment Concentrations in a Typical Tidal Channel

Journal of Nanjing University (Natural Sciences)Based on the measurements of water level, tidal currents and suspended sediment concentrations (SSCs) in the Xiyang sub-tidal channel, Jiangsu coast, within the radial sand ridges of the South Yellow Sea, which were carried out by the MOE Key Laboratory for Coast and Island Development in 2012, the time series of current velocities, near-bed shear stress and SSCs were analyzed. An equilibrium SSC model was established that includes the various feedback mechanisms and, on such a basis, the impact of different parameters on the characteristic SSC level was evaluated.
Numerical experiments for the characteristic deposition rates over the tidal flat, central Jiangsu coast

Journal of Nanjing University (Natural Sciences)The supply of fine-grained sediments from the old Yellow River delta and the offshore radial tidal sand ridges has resulted in the formation of extensive tidal flats on the central Jiangsu coast, with characteristic deposition rates of 1-5 cm/a over the intertidal zone. Using the Wanggang coast as a case study area, suspended sediment transport is evaluated by numerical experimental methods. Based on the sediment continuity equation, the horizontal distribution pattern of the deposition rate over the tidal flat is derived. The analytical results show that, under the given conditions for the numerical experiments, rapid accretion by fine-grained sediment occurs on the upper tidal flat, with the deposition rate being of the same order of magnitude as the observed values.
