首先，我认为有一点很重要，那就是在你的目标中强调你需要克服哪些限制来实现这些目标。

然后当你谈到学校时，你可以把你需要的和他们提供的联系起来。一定要详细了解学校提供的课程，包括他们的课程方式、动手经验、教授资源、研究类型，并说明为什么这对你很重要。这个理由不能模糊不清，比如说这个课程能给我提供更多的知识等等，因为这个理由在招生官看来是千篇一律的，没有指向性的，更是显而易见的。你应该更深入的挖掘并且告诉招生官为什么这门课值得你花大篇幅在essay中展示。我希望这能有所帮助!!

Hi Yumi! Great question! This is something a lot of people seem to struggle with and it is so important. First I think it is great to highlight in your goals, what limitations you need to overcome to reach these goals. Then when you talk about the university you can draw connections between what you need and what they offer. Be sure to get specific about what the university offers, cover their curriculum approach, hands-on experience, professors, research and make the connection to why it is important to you. Don’t let your reason be vague like, this course will provide me with more knowledge in…. because that is obvious! You want to go deeper and show why that course is worth highlighting in your essay!
