自我介绍
我于2017年本科毕业于一所坐落在西南边陲的双非二本院校。去年主动放弃北京大学凝聚态物理直博保送资格,Gap年凭借个人DIY申请,成功斩获加州大学洛杉矶分校(UCLA),康奈尔大学(Cornell)以及约翰霍普金斯大学(JHU)的2018fall的材料科学与工程专业Msoffer。
2013年高考的失利让我备受打击,而且还是去了一个我报志愿前完全没听过的学校,那一段时间我一度觉得我的未来很灰暗。
2016年之前,我的目标一直都是希望能够考上北京大学的研究生。
2017年当我告诉父母我想放弃北京大学的保送资格,选择出国留学的时候,遭到了无情的反对。周围也全部是反对的声音:“作为一个双非的学生,能够保送北大直博已经是很好的结果了,你去申请出国能申到更好地学校吗?”,身边的朋友,老师,同学也都对此表示怀疑。父母为了让我打消出国的念头,切断了我当时三个月的生活费,也不给我钱让我报名TOEFL和GRE考试,这一度让我觉得备受打击。
但是,决定了的事情又岂能轻言放弃?自己选择的路,无论别人是否支持,我都要坚持走下去。凭借着这样的信念,我度过了那段压力最大的时光, 在一共申请7所学校的基础上,最终顺利申请上这三所世界顶尖名校,我觉得我自己是幸运的。现在回想起来,我其实也正是凭借着这种不服输的信念,通过四年来坚持不懈的努力,一步一个脚印,最终完成弯道超车,实现了属于自己的一次逆袭。
