I have a Bachelors in Sociology and a Juris Doctor from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC. I am an avid reader, but studying law made me an avid proofreader. I look forward to helping you with your writing goals!

I have a strong academic writing background. I have successfully completed a BA(Psych) degree. I am confident using the APA format. I am willing to learn new writing styles as necessary I am currently undertaking a certificate IV in Professional Writing and Editing and have recently completed a Certificate in Professional Proofreading and Editing. I have experience in editing everything from full-length novels to short blog entries. I am experienced with the MS Word application. This program is my chosen method for 'on screen' edits.

I have over ten years of experience in teaching writing to and editing documents for non-native speakers of English from East Asia. I have helped a number of undergraduate and graduate students through the process of drafting and polishing statements of purpose and other application essays. All of these students were accepted into top-ranked colleges, including the University of Texas at Austin and the University of Colorado-Boulder, among others.

I hold a first-class degree in English Language and Literature from Oxford, an MPhil from Cambridge and a teaching degree from the University of Edinburgh. I have tutored at both undergraduate and postgraduate level across a wide range of subjects and written for national publications including the Guardian and the Independent.

I have authored or co-authored 15 non-fiction books, on subjects ranging from Inventions to the Olympic Games to Economics for Kids. I also used to write obituaries for The London Times, a job which required the highest standards of written English. My main strengths include flexibility and breadth of experience. I am equally comfortable writing for general, academic and business audiences.

I am currently a final year medical student at Magdalen College, Oxford University, having graduated top of my year with first class honours as an undergraduate in Natural Sciences from St. John's College, Cambridge. I have worked from 2007-2011 part-time as a medical secretary in various London Hospitals, such as The Royal London and Homerton Hospital. I have an excellent command of the english language and my latest short story has been published in the Magdalen Record.

I am currently finishing a doctorate in political philosophy at St Anne's College, Oxford. I have a Masters in Politics from Brasenose College, Oxford, and a BA in Economics and Politics from York University. I have a keen eye for style and was nominated for a Guardian Student Media Award in 2009. I have also carried out editing work professionally for the Westminster think tank Politeia.
